Jenna

Jenna has always lead an active lifestyle; competing at the Provincial level Track and Field as well as playing hockey for the University of Calgary and Officiating hockey at the intercollegiate level. Today, she enjoys golfing and running half marathons. With a PB of sub 1:30 and most recently 1hr31minutes, just 10 months after delivering her beautiful baby girl, Jenna believes balance in life is the key to leading a happy and healthy lifestyle.

She first fell in love with Pilates while overcoming a work related overuse injury as a Registered Massage Therapist in Alberta in 2004. Having also been in the fitness industry, several years at that point, she found the Stott Pilates method of combining a mind/body connection with a very specific approach to core conditioning to be a perfect fit. Pilates had made such a positive impact on Jenna, in both her recovery and in furthering her run training that she wanted to become a certified STOTT PILATES® instructor.

Jenna has extensive knowledge of the STOTT PILATES® Mat and Equipment repertoire as well as being one of the few instructors nationally to hold her STOTT PILATES® Golf Conditioning Specialist designation.

Jenna is also a YMCA Trainer of Fitness Leaders, a Bellyfit Master Trainer, a Bender Ball Master Trainer, and a YWCA Encore After Breast Cancer Trainer.

As the owner of Studio West Pilates, she hopes to share her wide range of knowledge to help others maintain a strong mind & body and assist them in achieving their fitness goals while remaining injury free.

Lynda

Lynda has been involved in fitness for many years, and she raised 3 very athletic boys.

Many years ago Lynda took up Yoga and then discovered Pilates. She fell in love with it so much she decided to learn how to teach Pilates, then Yoga, and that was the beginning.  She is a certified Yoga and Pilates instructor and a Personal Trainer. She believes that balance in life and fitness is very important so she went further and took many courses to round out her skills and experience including becoming a certified nutrition advisor.

After meeting a great instructor, Jenna, she was introduced to STOTT PILATES®.  She loves teaching the STOTT PILATES® method as the basic principles are woven into the classes.

Lynda is also a qualified Zenga® instructor, and loves teaching it as it a synergistic connection of the mind and body, enabling a good balance. She is also Barre certified.

Lynda teaches the Beginner Reformer Class on Mondays at 5:15pm.
